Nebraska Accepts Body Art Training Group's "Bloodborne Pathogens Training Infection Prevention" Course for Tattoo Artists & Piercers

In May 2015,  the Nebraska Department of Health stated that Body Art Training Group's bloodborne pathogens course would meet their requirement for BBP training.

To be a body art practitioner in Nebraska, you must practice in a Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services licensed body art facility.

In addition, you must hold a separate Nebraska license to perform tattooing, body piercing, branding, or the application of permanent cosmetics.

To obtain a license, you must submit documentation showing completion of bloodborne pathogens (BBP) training within 1 year before submitting your license application.

To renew a license, you must complete at least 2 hours of bloodborne pathogens training during the 24 months before the renewal date.
